Here are some Tips for Caring for Your New Legacy Tree,
These guidelines will assist you in ensuring the success of your tree.
Watering Instructions:
Watering the trees should create 20 ft of green grass or
vegetation around the tree.
Irrigated lawns should not require further watering.
Overhead sprinkler systems watering 30 minutes every other day
are preferred after 5 or more days of no rain for trees with no
irrigation.
Avoid placing an irrigation hose at the base of the tree as this will cause
oversaturation in the root system.
Now that you have been watering your tree accordingly what is next?
let’s talk about our Tree Stewardship Program and why its important for your tree(s)
We give the option for customers to purchase a 5-Year Warranty upon
installation of the Legacy-Tree. All trees come with an automatic 1-Year warranty. When purchasing the
5-Year Warranty, one oof our Arborist will return and prune this tree a minimum of three times in the first five
years.
The stewardship program is designed to ensure the proper structural development of the canopy. In forests, trees usually lose their juvenile branches, leading to a clear trunk of 20 feet or more. Our goal is to achieve this by carefully removing all juvenile branches. This is accomplished through a minimum of three visits from our ISA Certified Arborists within the first five years. By participating in a tree training program post-planting, you can guarantee that your trees will develop the appropriate structural branching.
Investing in this Stewardship Program is essential for establishing a thriving urban forest after planting. Enrollment in this foundational level of the Stewardship Program is required to qualify for the 5-year Warranty.
We also offer Fertilizing the tree and re-topping of mulch on alternate years of pruning. This is an optional purchase and is not required for the 5 year warranty..
