Keeping Up with Electrical Hazards
Keeping Up with Electrical Hazards
Keeping Up with Electrical Hazards, It’s surprising to learn that nearly 50% of electrocution deaths occur due to indirect contact! Even something as common as a streetlamp circuit or a phone line can carry enough electricity to be deadly.
You might not think about these facts often, but they are crucial for tree care professionals who frequently work near power lines. This is why ongoing training, such as our recent EHAT session, is essential!
Our employees participated in the Electrical Hazard Awareness Program Online Course and Workshop (EHAP) they spent the day brushing up on the best practices when it comes to working around electrical hazards. This workshop provides:
- Convenient, online training to recognize electrical hazards
- ANSI-based required safety training for arboricultural operations
- Easy-to-use documentation for OSHA-required electrical hazards training
- Online structure and support for employer certification of line clearance arborists and tree workers who work near energized lines on residential properties
- References include the ANSI Z133 Safety Standard.
- Online access to all required videos
At Johnson Ops Tree Care, we prioritize ongoing education for our team, ensuring they stay informed about the latest techniques and safety measures relevant to their work. Our goal is to keep the client, property, and our employees safe while ensuring everything operates seamlessly.
Feel free to reach out to us for a landscape assessment, and one of our Certified Arborists will be happy to address any questions you might have.
