Community Fundraisers
Are you looking for fun activities that will also benefit the community? Here are a few fantastic charities hosting fundraisers in the next few weeks. If you’re interested in more information, I’ve included links for each organization. Please take a look at the following community fundraisers.
The La Crosse-Bantry Friendship Association

2023 Coulee Hoolie Ceili fundraiser
is raising money for HorseSence/Hairy Henry Care Farm- an Organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with and without disabilities through a friendship with the horse. We strive to improve the bodies, minds, and spirits of riders by providing weekly therapeutic horseback riding lessons.
Join us for music, dancing, food, and fun, and come celebrate Your Love of All Things Irish at our good, ol’ fashioned Irish Ceili!

The Sara Rose Hougom Foundation
Sara Softball is a softball charity tournament that aims to help the Sara Hougom Foundation. The Chi Phi Fraternity has put together this tournament for 7 years now, but now that they have disbanded it is time for Delta Sig to take up the mantle. Information about the tournament can be found below in our abstract below, but a better question is what is the Sara Hougom Foundation? This foundation was created in honor of the late Sara Hougom and continuously aims to help both prevent violence and promote violence awareness in La Crosse. In addition, the funds that the foundation raises go towards providing positive opportunities to the youth of La Crosse, while at the same time bridging the gap between police and citizens. You can see how the Sara Hougom Foundation has impacted the city of La Crosse on the Community Impact page above. The Epsilon Iota Chapter of Delta Sigma Phi is honored to take on such an important event in our community.
Bring the family for a day of fun, food, and games.
